R is for Reynaud's

In November 2021 we ran another ABC for Yoga & Health webinar, this one was all about Reynaud’s.

Click the links below to hear a couple of snippets from the webinar...

"Many people experience coldness to the fingers and toes, and just accept that it cannot be changed. They put on more socks and gloves, and tell the world they have poor circulation. They often get quite grumpy when exposed to cold and appear to hibernate. According to yoga, the body is well heated when we have healthy circulation. Then it poses the question with a condition like Raynaud's, does this mean there is an imbalance of heat in the system? Or the issue is simply with our circulation? In this webinar, we hope to understand what Raynaud's is? How it manifest? And what is possible for us to do about it?" - Colin

"Raynaud's phenomenon is a very common condition, with its signature being a change of colour experienced at the body's extremities. The colour change accompanies significant sensations and/or other serious conditions. Aside from more clothing, turning on the heating and hot drinks, what else can we do to make the symptoms more bearable? When is it appropriate to seek specialist medical help? And what is the place of medication with the condition? Come find out more in our coming webinar." - Stanford
