"Trauma is born out of experience and memory. It holds a habitual pattern in its own right, and creates a route of behaviour for any individual that has an experience that they would describe as traumatic. In this webinar, we will look to uncover how experiences leave impressions. How those impressions create their root in memory, and how behavioural patterns are linked to this. Can we ever overcome traumas? What is the best we can hope for? How do traumas play themselves out? How do they define us?" - Colin
"Traumatic experiences are subjective, and they are our normal reactions to abnormal events. What they do is to disrupt our body's natural equilibrium, putting us in a hyper-vigilant state ready for fight, flight and/or freeze. The problem comes when the state of hyper-arousal and fear is frozen into our mind as well as body. Anything and anyone we interact with becomes a threat, with or without correlation to reality. Fear is irrational, and recovery takes time, patience, effort and support." - Stanford
